Light Weight Role Playing Game Now Available!

The Light Weight Role Playing Game can be purchased here. The transaction itself will be conducted by our vendor partner, DriveThruRPG.
If you would like to try out the Light Weight Role Playing Game before purchasing it, take a look at our convention schedule. We may be doing product demos in your area! We will also be running periodic online demos shortly after launch.
If you have already purchased the book, you can download character sheets, reference sheets, and even example characters. We have also included a list of external resources you can use in conjuction with the materials provided here.
Last but not least, stay tuned to the LightWeightRPG.com website! We'll be continuing to post new characters, adversaries, scenarios and campaigns for you to use or adapt to your games!

Final proofs of the Light Weight Role Playing Game are in and they look great! The official launch will be on Wednesday, February 20th. At that time you will be able to order the print and digital copies of the book. Soon we’ll also be revealing more information about our convention schedule, where you’ll be able to demo the game and buy a copy in person!
The Light Weight Role Playing Game will be available in three formats: PDF, Soft Cover, and a Premium-Colored Hard Cover. Bundles are available for customers who want to purchase both the digital and print version. Initially, these will be available at www.DriveThruRPG.com and a variety of conventions (to be announced soon). We hope to announce additional distribution channels soon.

LWRPG Cover and Pricing Information

At long last, we have put the finishing touches on Light Weight Role Playing Game! This means that the product will be on sale within the next couple of weeks. It looks great and we are all very proud of what has been created.
This also marks the public reveal of the cover. We wanted a playful image that demonstrated how flexible the system is. We couldn't decide on a specific image or character, so we created four that cross a gamut of genres and gaming styles. Bright colors and unique characters were chosen to differentiate us from the competition in the storefront. Plus: pirate monkey!

MAGFest a Success!

Light Weight RPG Extended Play Testing!

If you are interested learning and running a game of LWRPG with your own friends please send us an email at lwrpg@schraderheavy.com. In conjunction with this extended beta testing we will be providing the following:
- A pdf of the draft version of the rulebook
- A sample quest which is ready to run
- Six sample characters which are ready to use
- Teaching sessions to help people prepare (running you through the adventure, teaching you all of the rules, and then helping create any characters or even your own adventure)

We are happy to announce that we will be increasing the amount of online play testing that we are doing in the Light Weight RPG. If you are interested in helping us make the game as great as possible or simply learning how to play a role playing game for the first time, this is your opportunity to get involved!
Play tests will be organized through email, with between a day to a week’s notice given of a session. Sessions last between two and six hours, and you will know ahead of any session what the expected length is.
You will need the following things in order to play online:
- A Google Plus account, as we use Google Hangout to play (You can sign up at http://plus.google.com) - Access to Google Docs (You can check that at http://docs.google.com)
- A microphone (A camera is even better!)
We are in the process of building a form page to handle sign ups, but if you would like to be on the top of this list please email us at lwrpg@schraderheavy.com with the following information:

PAX East 2012 Wrap Up

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our demo tables during PAX East!
It was incredible to see so many people who were passionate about gaming and interested in what Schrader Heavy Industries is trying to create. We are collecting our thoughts (and notes) on what the best route to take from here is. Many people asked about when a product will be available, so we are looking into solutions (such as e-books) that would bridge the gap between now and a full print run. As always, the best thing to do is spread the word and let us know what you would like through facebook and twitter.

Schrader Heavy Industries is proud to announce our first creation: The Light Weight Role Playing Game. This will be a printed book and stand-alone product that includes all the necessary rules for playing and running a game of The Light Weight Role Playing Game.
The Light Weight Role Playing Game is a game system designed around the idea that a set of rules should never encumber a player. On the contrary the rules should “step out of the way”, allowing more room for imagination and creativity to flourish. Whether you are an experienced player, or this is your first time sitting at the table, The Light Weight Role Playing Game empowers you to establish and inhabit worlds of your own creation quickly without sacrificing the classic tabletop experience.
